A major global financial institution is looking for Mid‑Level and Senior Full Stack Engineers to join a high‑impact engineering function working on large‑scale, business‑critical platforms used across global markets. These roles are offered on a long‑term contract basis with strong potential for extension. You’ll be part of a collaborative engineering group responsible for enhancing and maintaining complex Java‑based services that support regulatory, operational and data‑driven processes across multiple regions.
The Role
- Work within a global engineering team delivering enhancements to core backend and service‑based systems
- Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle for the changes you implement
- Deliver remediation and incremental fixes to tight deadlines
- Maintain and improve the codebase (defects, vulnerabilities, enhancements)
- Support operational teams through tooling, automation and improved capabilities
- Collaborate with upstream technology groups to improve data quality and reduce complexity
- Operate within a POD‑style delivery model with clear charters and objectives
What You’ll Bring
- Mid‑Level: 3–5 years’ commercial Java experience
- Senior: 5+ years’ commercial Java experience plus leadership in delivery
- Both levels require:
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with global stakeholders
- Strong problem‑solving ability and delivery focus
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE concepts
- Experience with CI/CD and build pipelines
Nice to Have
- Environment, Change & Release Management
- Cloud concepts (ideally GCP)
- GitHub/Jenkins, Jira, Confluence
- Experience in financial services or regulated environments
