RESPONSIBILITIES The role of the Business Development Manager is to cultivate and grow existing & new relationships within the On & Off-trade. Making that happen involves duties such as: acting as a liaison between the client and departments within CASK to convey information, ensure understanding, and make certain everything gets done in an accurate, timely manner. This specific role covers On-Trade accounts in London with some reach into the Independent Retail channel. The role is five days per week and reports to the Sales Manager. The role’s key responsibilities are:

  • To achieve long-term growth and profitability for the business
  • Identify and seek out new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate and implement new agreements.
  • Maintain and develop reporting procedures using CRM tool (Bowimi)
  • Develop the equity of the brands CASK represents, with an emphasis on profile and desirability.

PROFILE Core Skills

  • Minimum 1 year’s commercial experience in Wines & Spirits industry
  • Strong Negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to build relationships quickly, in a friendly, supportive, and trustworthy manner.

Industry Knowledge

  • WSET level 1 Spirits and Wine or bar management experience for a minimum of 3 years

Specific skills required for the role

  • Good planning and organisation skills
  • Adapt at building and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Self-motivator with good communication skills
