The Job: Business Development Manager, Acquiring Licensed Services
What you’ll be doing:
- Key Responsibilities
- Targeting new business: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach. Create and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and partnerships. Execute on all stages of business development, from sourcing the opportunity to implementation and go-live, working with both external and internal stakeholders where appropriate. Own and deliver against an individual seller target on an annualised basis. Work closely with the wider Licensed services team and internal stakeholders to ensure opportunities close as quickly as possible. Ensure best-in-class pipeline management through use of CRM [Salesforce].
- Relationship building and collaboration: Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners and industry influencers. Attend industry events and networking opportunities to enhance our brand presence and generate leads. Drive effective implementation through your virtual team. Assist and contribute with marketing, product, tech and risk and compliance teams to define and execute go-to-market plans. Work with internal stakeholders to define and refine our value proposition based on market needs and client feedback. Articulate our offerings clearly and effectively to prospective clients.
- Strategic planning: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with company goal to drive acquiring licensed services, aiming to be market leader in the UK and Europe. Analyse market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth, and working with wider Licensed services team, act to take advantage of them.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on business development activities, performance metrics, and outcomes. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.
What you’ll be experienced in:
- Experience in targeting, driving pipeline management and generating gross profit to meet targets through their team.
- Experience of complex negotiations with strong need for outside the box commercial constructs.
- Experience in renegotiating contracts to increase profit in spite of being in a price-pressured market.
- Ability to build strong, valuable and lasting relationships where you are a trusted advisor.
- Strategic thinking & change management.
- Experience in working with a broader organisation to drive alignment between product/tech roadmaps & customers wants/needs.
- Experience in selling new propositions, spotting gaps and working across functions to constantly seek to improve.
- Leadership: Experience in leading virtual teams to drive company objectives. Experience in communicating internally to drive internal support, resource and give business updates to executive committee level.
- Payment Facilitation and other payment models: preferable to have some experience in this space.
The hours: This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) – Monday to Friday.
