The Inbound Sales Executive is responsible for managing and converting all inbound sales enquiries into new merchant opportunities. This role will act as the first point of contact for prospective merchants, handling inbound calls, online enquiries, and Game of Skill referral leads.
The successful candidate will quickly qualify prospects, understand their requirements, and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline to onboarding. For any merchants turning over £1.2m+ CTO annually will be referred to a New Business Sales Executive to onboard.
What you’ll be doing
- Handle all inbound sales enquiries via phone, email, and website submissions.
- Respond quickly to inbound prospects and ensure a professional first interaction.
- Manage and convert Game of Skill referral leads into live merchants.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand merchant requirements.
- Assess merchant suitability and gather key information for onboarding.
- Identify strong opportunities and progress them into the sales pipeline whilst disqualifying opportunities we cannot support.
- Record all leads, calls, and activities accurately within Salesforce.
- Track and manage opportunities through to onboarding.
- Maintain strong organisation and follow-up discipline.
- Keep a handle on all merchants approved, activated and not yet trading.
- Work closely with underwriting, onboarding, marketing, support and the wider commercial team.
- Share insights and feedback from inbound prospects to improve sales processes.
What you’ll be experienced in
- Experience in a sales, inbound sales, or lead qualification role.
- Strong telephone communication and rapport-building skills.
- Ability to quickly assess and qualify opportunities.
- Organised with strong CRM discipline and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI & target-driven environment.
- Experience in payments, fintech, or merchant services is advantageous.
Success Measures
- Speed of response to inbound enquiries.
- Conversion rate from enquiry to live merchant.
- Revenue generated from inbound channels.
- Accuracy of Salesforce Pipeline.
The hours
This is a full-time role (40 hours a week) – Monday to Friday.
