Volunteer Community Workshop Facilitator (Stoke-on-Trent)

Community Education delivers free educational workshops to groups of young people and adults across the UK to help increase community resilience.

We would like you to

  • Be able to volunteer on a regular basis.
  • Be able to contribute a minimum of 8 hours per month and have flexibility with availability (workshops usually run on weekdays between 9am and 5pm, with occasional opportunities in the evenings or at weekends).
  • Can commit to volunteer for at least 12 months.
  • Willing to undertake all the required training for the role.
  • Have the use of your own vehicle.

Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check. Applicants will be asked to provide ID documents in support of the DBS check.

  • Facilitate face-to-face or online workshops to groups of young people or adults, on a range of humanitarian topics to help strengthen your community.
  • Help promote our work within your community so that more people may benefit from our education offer.
  • The skills you need
  • Passionate about exploring humanitarian issues and values.
  • Believe in the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Responsible, organised, reliable and able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Ideally, you will have a reasonable level of IT literacy, and have access to suitable IT equipment and internet connection. (There is no expectation to deliver both face-to-face and digital workshops.
