Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers to support us in. From sorting stock & preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to our donors and customers - we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones. We are currently looking for Stockroom Coordinator volunteers. If you are organised and interested in supporting us in our stockroom, then this may be for you!
Typical activities:
- Unpacking and sorting donated items
- Identifying and recording Gift Aid stock for sale
- Keeping the stockroom clean and safe
- Supporting other stockroom volunteers
- Other general activities as required
No experience is needed. Full training will be provided.
When can I volunteer?
A few hours during the week/weekend - as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that we agree on hours you are confident you can attend and that you let us know where these hours may change.

- Helping customers on the shop floor
- Using the till
