Your local British Red Cross shop offers a variety of activities for volunteers, from sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to donors and customers. It’s a place to learn new skills and share existing ones. We are currently looking for General Assistant volunteers to help us in our shop.
No two days in our shops are ever the same. From the exciting donations that come through our door to the wonderful customers who shop with us, our shops are ever changing. But one thing that never changes is that we need volunteers to help us spread the power of kindness.
What you will be doing:
- Checking the quality of donated items and preparing them for sale or recycling.
- Ironing, cleaning, labelling and pricing items ready for sale.
- Keeping the shop well organised and tidy.
- General activities around the shop.
