Our local British Red Cross shop offers a range of activities for volunteers. This role supports the shop by using the till, promoting Gift Aid, providing customer service and assisting with general shop tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Use the shop till to take payments for items.
  • Promote Gift Aid to maximise fundraising.
  • Help and advise customers.
  • Assist with general shop duties such as sorting donations, setting displays, and maintaining shop floor.

Qualifications

  • No previous experience is required.
  • Positive outlook, friendly, and willing to learn how to use a shop till.
  • Completion of full training prior to starting.

Volunteering Hours

  • Flexible hours during the week or weekend.
  • No minimum commitment or fixed hours – arrange times you can attend with the shop manager.
