Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers to support us in. From sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to our donors and customers, we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones.
We are currently looking for Till & Customer Service volunteers to help us in our shop. If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, then this may be for you.
Responsibilities- Using the shop till to take payment for items
- Promoting Gift Aid to maximise our fundraising potential
- Helping and advising customers on the shop floor
- Undertaking general activities in the shop, such as sorting donations and creating window displays
No minimum commitment or fixed hours. We ask that you agree on hours you can attend and let us know if those hours change.
Qualifications- No previous experience is needed
- A warm smile and a friendly outlook
- Complete training (provided) before starting
