When there is a fire, flood or severe weather, we’re among the first to respond. You must be located within 30 minutes of the Maidstone British Red Cross office, in Hermitage Court (ME16 9NT). This is a 24-hour service and volunteers will need to be available when on call.
We would like volunteers who:
- Can volunteer on a regular basis.
- Can volunteer on a rota/shift basis for 2 x 12 hour shifts.
- Have a minimum of 2 shifts/24 hours per month.
- Have held a manual driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK.
- Are confident driving a large British Red Cross vehicle.
- Are able to attend in-person monthly team meetings.
- Are available to undertake required e-learning modules and online training sessions in the first few months of volunteering plus other service specific trainings as required.
- Can commit to volunteering for at least 12 months.
Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo Disclosure.
