Your local British Red Cross shop offers a variety of activities for volunteers. From sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service, we have something to suit most people’s interests.

Responsibilities

  • Check the quality of donated items and prepare them for sale or recycling
  • Replenish stock on the shop floor
  • Iron, clean, label and help price items ready for sale
  • Assist with general shop activities

When can I volunteer?

A few hours during the week or on weekends – agreed with the shop manager. No minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that you agree on hours you can attend and inform us of any changes.

Qualifications

No previous experience is required. Full training will be provided. No expectation to use a till or computer. A warm smile and a friendly outlook.
