Our local British Red Cross shop offers a range of volunteer activities, from sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing excellent customer service. Your role will include using the shop till, promoting Gift Aid, advising customers, and contributing to general shop duties.
We are currently looking for Customer Service and Till volunteers. If you have a positive outlook, love speaking to people, and are willing to learn how to use a shop till, this may be for you.
Typical activities:
- Using the shop till to take payment for items
- Promoting Gift Aid to maximise fundraising
- Helping and advising customers
- Undertaking general activities in the shop
No experience is needed. Full training will be provided.
Availability:
Volunteer hours are flexible β a few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager. No minimum commitment or fixed hours. We ask that you agree on hours you can attend and inform us if they change.
Requirements:
No previous experience is required. A warm smile, friendly outlook, and the ability to learn quickly are desired.
