Your local British Red Cross shop has a variety of activities available for volunteers to support us in. From sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing great customer service to our donors and customers – we have something to suit most people’s interests. Our shop is a great place to learn new skills and share existing ones. We are currently looking for Till & Customer Service volunteers to help us in our shop. If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, then this may be for you.
Responsibilities
- Using the shop till to take payment for items
- Promoting Gift Aid to maximise our fundraising potential
- Helping and advising customers
- Undertaking general activities in the shop
- Creating exciting window displays
No experience is needed. Full training will be provided.
When can I volunteer?
A few hours during the week or weekend – as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that you agree on hours you can attend and let us know if these change.
