Your local British Red Cross shop offers volunteers a range of activities, from sorting stock and preparing donated items for sale to providing excellent customer service to donors and customers. We are currently looking for Till and Customer Service volunteers to support our shop. If you have a positive outlook, enjoy speaking to new people and are confident in learning how to use a shop till, then this may be for you.
Till and Customer Service - typical activities:
- Using the shop till to take payment for items
- Promoting Gift Aid to maximise our fundraising potential
- Helping and advising customers
- Undertaking general activities in the shop
No experience is needed. Full training will be provided.
When can I volunteer?
A few hours during the week or weekend, as agreed with the shop manager. There is no minimum commitment or fixed hours; we only ask that we agree on hours you can attend and that you inform us of any changes.
