Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of HGV Technicians, Engineers, a Service Coordinator and Administrator
- Oversee the maintenance and performance of our HGV fleet, plant equipment and material handling equipment
- Drive delivery against agreed KPIs and implement improvements where needed
- Manage performance effectively, developing strong performers and addressing underperformance
- Support the Health & Safety function in maintaining a safe working environment and high compliance standards
- Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance are delivered smoothly
- Achieve targeted MOT pass rates and maintain fleet compliance
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
- You’re an experienced workshop leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in running an organised, high‑performing operation.
- You understand the importance of safety, compliance and team development and you lead by example.
- Proven experience managing a busy HGV fleet workshop
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience within a fast-moving maintenance environment
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and other IT systems
- HGV maintenance qualification (desirable)
