Role: Trade Mark Attorney
Location: Glasgow, Scotland (with flexible remote working across Scotland considered for experienced candidates)
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded intellectual property firm seeking a qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing Glasgow team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious attorney with around three years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to develop their career within a collaborative, client-focused practice.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients across a broad range of sectors, advising on all aspects of trade mark protection, portfolio management and brand strategy.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- Managing a varied portfolio of UK and international trade mark matters.
- Advising clients on trade mark clearance, filing strategies, prosecution and portfolio management.
- Handling UK and international trade mark applications, including Madrid Protocol matters.
- Managing oppositions, cancellations and other contentious proceedings.
- Advising on enforcement, infringement and brand protection strategies.
- Supporting business development initiatives and building strong client relationships.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider intellectual property team.
About You
You will:
- Be a qualified UK Trade Mark Attorney.
- Have approximately three years' post-qualification experience.
- Possess strong technical knowledge of UK and international trade mark law and practice.
- Be confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision where required.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Enjoy working collaboratively while also being able to work independently.
- Have a commercial, pragmatic approach to advising clients.
