About the Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded intellectual property firm seeking a qualified Trade Mark Attorney to join its growing Glasgow team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious attorney with around three years' post-qualification experience (PQE) to develop their career within a collaborative, client-focused practice.

The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of UK and international clients across a broad range of sectors, advising on all aspects of trade mark protection, portfolio management and brand strategy.

The Role

You will be responsible for

  • Managing a varied portfolio of UK and international trade mark matters.
  • Advising clients on trade mark clearance, filing strategies, prosecution and portfolio management.
  • Handling UK and international trade mark applications, including Madrid Protocol matters.
  • Managing oppositions, cancellations and other contentious proceedings.
  • Advising on enforcement, infringement and brand protection strategies.
  • Supporting business development initiatives and building strong client relationships.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider intellectual property team.

About You

You will

  • Be a qualified UK Trade Mark Attorney.
  • Have approximately three years' post-qualification experience.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of UK and international trade mark law and practice.
  • Be confident managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision where required.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively while also being able to work independently.
  • Have a commercial, pragmatic approach to advising clients.
