The Role
This is a commercially focused leadership role with responsibility for a portfolio of established conferences and related revenue streams. You will work closely with sales, marketing, production and operations teams to grow event revenues, strengthen customer relationships and improve overall portfolio performance. While strategic in nature, this role remains close to the day-to-day operation of the events, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining commercial leadership with hands-on involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the growth and performance of a portfolio of B2B conferences and related products.
- Driving sponsorship, delegate and customer retention revenues.
- Working closely with sales, marketing and production teams to deliver commercial objectives.
- Identifying opportunities to launch new products, features and revenue streams.
- Using market intelligence, customer feedback and performance data to guide decision-making.
- Supporting and developing team members to achieve individual and portfolio goals.
- Managing budgets, forecasts and portfolio performance metrics.
The Person
You are likely to come from a B2B events, media, information services or commercial conference environment and have experience owning the performance of an event portfolio or business unit. You will bring:
- Experience managing or leading B2B conference, events or media products.
- A strong track record of growing sponsorship, delegate or commercial revenues.
- Commercial awareness combined with a customer-focused mindset.
- The ability to work effectively across sales, marketing and content teams.
- A data-led approach to improving performance and identifying opportunities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
