The Role

Oversee the planning and execution of international conferences and exhibitions.

The role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of a portfolio of global events annually, ensuring smooth execution from concept to completion. This includes overseeing event budgets, forecasting, and strategic planning while developing and implementing operational strategies in collaboration with leadership.

The role involves sourcing and negotiating contracts with venues and suppliers, coordinating with production, marketing, sales, and finance teams, and ensuring exhibitors receive accurate technical information and sponsorship deliverables.

Designing and managing floor plans, event signage, and show guides will be a core part of the role, along with ensuring health and safety compliance, managing risk assessments, and maintaining necessary documentation. Post-event evaluation will be key in identifying areas for improvement and enhancing future event planning.

The role includes overseeing and mentoring junior team members, ensuring clear communication of expectations while providing guidance and development opportunities

The Person

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in international conference and exhibition operations, with expertise in budget management, forecasting, and supplier negotiations.

A strong understanding of venue contracts and event health and safety regulations is essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
