Role

They are looking for someone to lead the marketing function, whose portfolio includes a powerful digital media presence and activities such as a flagship event, awards, webinars, CEO roundtables, podcasts, and training sessions. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of campaigns that reflect the company brand, achieve measurable outcomes, and foster international partnerships.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership through mentoring a team of four marketing professionals
  • Oversee and manage the database and CRM as well as developing strategies to re-engage data across the business.
  • Create reports to track and improve the top-of-funnel to sales conversions.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Oversee marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximise ROI.
  • Support and work with the Head of Event Marketing to drive delegate acquisition through PPC, email automation, and targeted campaigns.
  • Support and work with the Membership Marketing Manager to enhance member retention with personalised onboarding, loyalty programmes, and engagement & usage campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Editorial and Heads of Department to drive thought-leadership campaigns.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in managing large-scale event marketing
  • Proven track record of P&L ownership and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Skilled in project management, including leadership, planning, and execution.
  • Expertise in KPI and target setting to align teams and achieve progress on complex projects.
