We’re working with a pioneering, entrepreneurial media organisation looking for a high-performing Senior Business Development Manager to drive sponsorship revenue across its flagship, multi-million-pound LSE-aligned international event portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to work on high-profile, global events selling strategic sponsorship packages (typically £30k+), building long-term partnerships with C-level clients, and influencing business-critical conversations across various sectors.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving revenue growth by selling bespoke, high-value sponsorship solutions across a portfolio of international events.
- Building and nurturing commercial relationships with senior decision-makers and corporate stakeholders.
- Leading sales conversations from pitch to close, including face-to-face meetings, calls, and attending key industry events globally.
- Researching and qualifying new leads while growing and upselling to existing accounts.
- Staying close to market trends and client needs to inform compelling proposals and tailored packages.
- Contributing to the commercial strategy and acting as a key player in an ambitious, high-growth environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- A driven and ambitious sales professional with at least 3 years of sponsorship sales experience, ideally in B2B events, media, or publishing.
- A proven track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets, especially with large deal values (£20k–£50k+).
- Commercially astute, with the confidence to consult senior stakeholders and close complex deals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to craft bespoke proposals and negotiate at a senior level.
- A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, keen to develop into a leadership or strategic role.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, commercially focused team.
