A high-quality, international content and intelligence business is entering its next phase of growth and is appointing a senior editorial leader to shape and elevate its content operation. This is a newly created leadership role with responsibility for setting direction, standards and culture across a multi-disciplinary content function. The business already employs strong journalists, analysts and editors; the opportunity now is to bring clarity, cohesion and senior editorial leadership to a growing, ambitious organisation.

This is a hands-off-the-keyboard, leadership-led role, suited to someone who has credibility as an editor but now operates as a builder, mentor and strategic operator.

The Role

  • Set and own editorial and content standards across a global, multi-product platform
  • Lead and develop senior editorial and data leaders, creating clarity of purpose and accountability
  • Ensure content is consistent, authoritative, commercially aligned and trusted by senior audiences
  • Improve integration between journalism, insight and data-led content
  • Champion best practice in editorial process, governance and quality control
  • Play a visible, in-office leadership role, particularly supporting and developing junior talent
  • Act as a senior ambassador for the business, including moderating and presenting at events

About You

  • Senior editorial background, with credibility as a former journalist, editor or editor-in-chief
  • Experience leading content teams in a fast-moving, information-led business
  • Comfortable working with data, insight or research-driven content (sector background not required)
  • Proven people leader who enjoys developing others and building strong editorial cultures
