We are working with a commercial membership association of payments industry influencers. It delivers projects to drive change, helps to connect the ecosystem, encourages innovation and profitable business growth, and runs more than 70 events each year. The TPA’s vision is for the UK to be the global hotspot for payments innovation. Its members come from across the payments value chain; including payments schemes, banks and issuers, merchant acquirers, PSPs, retailers, and more. These companies have come together, from across the UK and internationally, to join our association, collaborate, and speak with a unified voice.
Due to their ongoing growth, they are now looking for an accomplished and talented Digital Sales professional to deliver its enhanced digital inventory of products. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years’ experience in digital sales within a B2B media environment (ideally within a financial or technology environment). They will be self-motivated, target-oriented, ready to leap straight in, and will be an effective team player. The role will require an intelligent, insight-led sales approach due to the levels of the suite of digital inventory opportunities, considering the potential to cross-sell between products (digital advertising, branded content, sponsored reports, newsletters, and webinars etc).
Main Responsibilities:
- Identifying prospects from the expansive sales database, contacting them, and building relationships that provide media sales opportunities.
- Using the wide inventory of media products available to generate revenues against your sales target.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders within the events business to identify new commercial opportunities.
- Coordinating with the sales director on an ongoing basis to develop new products and revenue streams.

We are ideally looking for someone with experience and knowledge in the Payments/Tech industry and with a clear interest in being a pivotal member of the team. This role will require self-discipline and motivation. The ideal candidate will have wide-ranging media knowledge, excellent commercial acumen, great communication skills, and a proven track record of selling to senior stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven prior experience in building and maintaining relationships and understanding customer needs.
- Media sales experience at a senior level in the digital B2B market.
- Consultative sales approach and ability to understand complex customer needs.
- Strong knowledge of the benefits of digital assets and their impact.
- Ability to build complex integrated year-round campaigns for clients.
- Strong working knowledge of different digital assets and how they can be deployed for maximum impact (whitepapers, webinars, digital advertising, interviews, content sales etc).
- Managing senior stakeholders and large complex customers.
- Experience of complex sales situations and demonstrable history of Sales KPI delivery.
- Experience using CRM to manage and forecast sales opportunities.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills written, verbal, presentation.
- Experienced and skilled in sourcing innovative revenue streams adapted to current and future economic climates.
- Experience selling in a contract format.
