Role Summary

The ideal Audience Development Executive will be passionate about understanding audience behaviour, a self-starter, target-driven, organised and able to work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver high quality audiences for our Compute Series. A key responsibility will be identifying audience gaps, cultivating long-term relationships with critical attendee groups, and screening profiles to secure the right participants for every event.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Prospecting & Outreach: Proactively identify and qualify potential attendees through targeted research. Execute high-volume outbound communication campaigns (telephone, personalised email, LinkedIn messaging, etc) to engage prospects and articulate the value proposition of the Compute Series. Conduct compelling initial conversations to understand prospect needs and overcome objections, driving them towards registration and attendance.
  • Pipeline Management & Conversion: Manage and nurture a robust pipeline of prospects, moving them through the acquisition funnel from initial contact to confirmed registration. Follow up diligently on all leads and inquiries. Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure prospects receive accurate and timely information. Maximise the conversion of online registrations into confirmed onsite attendance at the event.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Weekly monitoring of individual acquisition metrics. Utilise CRM systems to track all prospect interactions and manage lead status. Provide regular, detailed reports on acquisition progress, highlighting successes, challenges, and contributing to forecasting efforts.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-3 years of proven experience in a sales or direct audience acquisition role, preferably within events, media, or B2B sales. Demonstrable track record of meeting or exceeding acquisition targets. Ability to identify decision-makers and key influencers. Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other prospecting tools.
