There has never been a more exciting time to join the Advancement office as we plan for our biggest ever fundraising and engagement campaign and support the delivery of the bicentennial programme in 2026. We are a team of exceptionally ambitious, creative and passionate individuals who work together to achieve remarkable things with a global impact, and we would love for you to be part of this exciting journey and our success.

About the role
As a Prospect Development & Insight Manager, you will join a high-performing and supportive Prospect Development & Insight team as we drive UCL Advancement’s landmark bicentennial fundraising campaign. This is a standout opportunity to play a key role in developing our ambitious and growing international activity. Working in close partnership with a highly driven team, you’ll lead international prospect research, identification, insight and prospect management, shaping the pipelines that make our most ambitious international trips and events possible.
Your insight into global markets will directly inform long term strategy, while your leadership of prospect development activity will help unlock significant philanthropic support. This is a role with real influence, visibility and impact, where your work will help the International Programmes Team deliver on bold financial targets and transformative global activity.
In parallel, you will champion best practice in prospect management and research. That means safeguarding data integrity on our CRM, running regular reports to track pipeline health, and embedding processes that comply with GDPR and UCL’s ethical standards. You’ll also conduct targeted due diligence and briefing research, sharing findings in clear, compelling formats. Success in this role will see you driving a robust, insight-led pipeline, forging collaborative relationships with Advancement colleagues, and elevating UCL’s philanthropic impact.
We pride ourselves on working in partnership and inclusively with all members of our fundraising teams and this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact and play a pivotal role in delivering our fundraising goals.
We are happy to consider applications to work on a part‑time, flexible and job‑share basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE – equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro‑rata). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.
You will bring proven experience of conducting research and providing high-quality, accurate written work to a variety of audiences - ideally within higher education or a comparable nonprofit setting. You are adept at translating complex data into clear recommendations and comfortable leading cross‑functional processes that drive results. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills allow you to inspire confidence in fundraisers, while your meticulous attention to data integrity ensures compliance with GDPR and best practice standards. Above all, you thrive in a collaborative environment and are passionate about fuelling a major campaign that will shape UCL’s next 200 years.
We are pleased to accept applications from individuals who possess transferable skills and experience drawn from sectors outside of Higher Education.
