Contract: Permanent
Location: Porthcawl
Hours per week: 36.75 hours per week
Working pattern: 12-hour shifts (Expectation to cover Days, Nights and Weekends)
Pay per hour:
- Day (7.00am 11.00pm) = £14.50
- Waking nights (11.00pm 7.00am) = £15.50
- Sleep shift (11.00pm 7.00am) = £13.21
- Bank holiday = £29
- Additional Pay = £1 per hour applied to all weekend shifts

Im a 38-year-old lady who sustained a brain injury following an accident whilst serving in the RAF. I have recently relocated to Porthcawl and need support from my Team Leader, Rehabilitation Workers and parents to live independently in my own property.
I use a wheelchair and together with my physiotherapist, Im working on my strength to assist my mobility further. Im a very determined lady and am looking for likeminded people to aid my rehabilitation further. I enjoy the company of others, have a good sense of humour, enjoy going out into the community, visiting the cinema and going shopping. Most importantly, you will support me with cooking, managing my house and exploring sports/rehab/activities in the area.
I have some physical difficulties and currently receive input from an occupational therapist, neuropsychologist and a physiotherapist. I can communicate verbally providing you give me the time I need to express myself. I would like my rehab workers to be warm, patient and reliable, to encourage and support me to access all opportunities along with completing therapy tasks as prescribed by my therapist team, thus, helping me to maximise my quality of life.
You will play a key part in helping to develop my day-to-day activities. There may be occasions where you need to work at short notice to cover sickness absence or annual leave of other workers. You may also need to support me to have short breaks and holidays. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. Full induction and training will be provided.

- Be able to drive and have use of a car.
- Drive the family vehicle.
- Have experience of supporting a person with a brain injury.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
