Position Summary

Team Leader – Cardiff at a private home care setting. Location: Cardiff. Hours: 10 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends. Pay: £19.00 per hour (plus mileage). Closing date: Thursday 11th June 2026.

About the Client

The client is a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and significant learning disability, requiring 24/7 care. The current support team works mainly outside the home to support therapy, community activities and rehabilitation. The Team Leader will oversee and expand this support team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the care team, managing paperwork, staff rotas and performance reviews.
  • Communicate effectively with therapists, family members and the case manager.
  • Contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and ensure they are up to date.
  • Advocate for the client, support independence and facilitate access to community-based activities.
  • Handle vehicle driving to attend appointments and errands.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience supporting individuals with cerebral palsy or brain injury.
  • Driver’s licence and availability to drive.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be organized.
  • Willingness to register with Social Care Wales.
  • Full DBS check and completion of induction and training.
