We are looking for an enthusiastic, fun, patient and reliable Therapy Assistant / Rehabilitation Support Worker to support a client with brain injury. The role involves assisting with personal care, social and leisure activities, therapy sessions, and life-skills development after school. The successful candidate will also transport the client by car or van.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for personal care, therapy, and social activities;
- Transport client as required;
- Work after school hours;
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team;
- Progress towards client independence.
Qualifications
- Calm and patient under pressure, with a consistent approach;
- Experience working with children and adults;
- Ability to drive a car and willingness to transport the client;
- Willingness to drive client’s van;
- Ability to work flexibly after school hours;
- Enhanced level DBS check required;
- Full induction and training will be provided;
- Therapy student or psychology graduate – excellent opportunity.
