Ref:262) Support Worker – Cardiff Contract: Permanent Location: Cardiff Hours: 24.25 hours per week Working pattern: 16.25 hrs x wake / 8 hrs x sleep (8am start to finish 8:15am following morning – plus, extra hours available to cover leave. Flexibility on shifts to be discussed interview) Pay per hour: £14.02 weekday , £15.18 unsocial – inc weekends and Bank Holidays & £12.21 sleep rate Closing date: 19th Feb 2026 (Please note – we reserve the right to close the advert earlier if we receive a high volume of suitable applicants) Our client is a young man with Cerebral Palsy who has some physical and emotional support needs, he requires some prompting and supervision in carrying out acts of daily living within his own home. He enjoys technology and gaming, visits to the cinema, has interests in history, politics and writing and is currently engaging in music therapy lessons. A key part of this role will be to encourage him to explore independence in the local community and attend social and leisure facilities within the local area. You will be warm, patient, and reliable, have excellent communication skills and maintain a consistent and proactive approach, whilst being flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic, you will encourage and support our client to access all possible opportunities available to him. A full induction and training will be provided. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. ESSENTIAL INFORMATION To join me as a Support Worker you will need to: – * Be willing to drive the client’s vehicle. * Ideally have a good understanding of the needs of a client with Cerebral Palsy. * Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
