I’m a 16-year-old young lady with subtle needs arising from a birth injury. I’m bright and funny with a strong sense of justice. I struggle to conform to the needs of the school environment, and I currently attend school for part of the school day. I need access to support throughout the day, so that I can attain the academic success which I am very capable off and participate in my interests out of school. I am still learning about the impact of my injury and need someone compassionate and understanding who can support me on this journey. I also receive support from my mum, my case manager and a therapy team. A full induction and training will be provided. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
To join me as a Support Worker/Therapy Assistant you will:
- Be able to drive and have use of a car.
- Have experience of working with young adults.
- Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Above the industry average for pay.
- Mileage rate – 45p per mile.
- Work directly for our client and not for an agency (unlike most agency work you will spend quality time with your client, which can make a real difference).
