I am looking for a warm, bubbly, reliable individual to support me to live at home in my fully adapted property with my mum, so that I can live as independently as possible. I am 25 years old, have Cerebral Palsy and require care on a 2:1 basis. I have complex physical difficulties and receive input from a multi-disciplinary team of therapists. I am known to have a great sense of humour and really enjoy attending concerts and musicals, as well as thoroughly enjoying the fun of watching reality TV programmes. It is really important to me that my support staff have an interest in the activities I enjoy, to be able to fully engage with me.
My support workers will be working as part of a team to help me with personal care and to assist me with my music and hydrotherapy sessions and other tasks relating to my care. The work is varied and involves assisting me to access the local community and its amenities, along with accompanying me on outings and holidays. At times, it may be necessary to work additional hours depending on the activities that I have chosen to attend which could also include an overnight stay. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check. Full induction and training will be provided.
