Salary range for Transportation Supervisor between $70,000 to $80,000 CAD/year based on skills and experience.
At our facility in Surrey, you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Cascades Recovery + division of our team as the Transportation Supervisor: This position is TRANSPORTATION FOCUSED so logistics experience is not what we are looking for at this time. Please ensure that you are reading through the entire job posting prior to applying.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direction and support within all operating areas of the department
- Oversee routing & hired trucks in the service areas
- Assist the Transportation Manager with route optimization, re-routing, and execution
- Work closely with Drivers to ensure productivity levels are being met
- Conduct daily role call of the department and fill in for dispatchers if required
- Comply with all Employment and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures as required
- Ensure that all shifts in the Dispatch department are covered accordingly
- Schedule vacations for all staff
- Attend the JHSC for Transportation as required
A class 1 license is mandatory.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience
- 2-5 years of transportation industry experience is a must! (not logistics, supply chain, or warehousing experience, MUST be transportation specific please)
- Strong computer efficiency and understanding
- Leadership experience including employee development and engagement
- Knowledge of the transportation regulations for the National Safety Code
- Ministry of Transportation experience
