Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced NCO Level 2 Water Gang/Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on a variety of excavation and reinstatement projects, water service pipe repairs, leak detection, and new supply installations. This role involves both planned and reactive works, working independently or as part of a small gang, ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out water service pipe repairs, replacements, and new installations.
  • Undertake excavation and reinstatement works in accordance with NRSWA standards.
  • Diagnose and repair leakage issues quickly and effectively.
  • Operate equipment such as CAT & Genny, pipe tracing tools, and dewatering pumps.
  • Work on domestic and commercial properties ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Complete job reports, take photos, and update digital job records.
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with health and safety regulations.
  • Liaise with customers on-site to explain works and provide excellent service.
  • Participate in an out-of-hours emergency rota (as required).

Skills & Experience

  • Essential:
  • NCO (Water) Level 2 qualification (Service Layer).
  • EUSR Water Hygiene card.
  • Experience in water supply pipe repairs, replacements, and new installations.
  • NRSWA (Streetworks) accreditation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Desirable:
  • Experience operating small plant and equipment.
  • First Aid at Work certification.
  • Previous experience with both domestic and commercial customers.
