ABOUT CASCADE

Cascade is an AI-native, end-to-end filmmaking platform, built by filmmakers, for filmmakers.

In one seamless, web-based environment, creators can go from first idea through script, storyboard, character generation, scene assembly and final edit – without leaving the platform.

Our Open Beta is live, and we've moved from launch mode into growth – building a roster of creative partners and an audience of independent filmmakers and directors who are making the case for our platform.

The creator economy is $250 billion and growing at 22% a year.

Over 50 million filmmakers and creators are drowning in fragmented tools and broken workflows.

Cascade replaces the stack.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for an AI Content Creator who lives and breathes Cascade – someone who uses the platform, day in and day out, as their primary tool for generating the video and image content that powers our marketing, pitches and social.

You think like a filmmaker: you understand shot composition, pacing and story, and you know how to hook someone in the first three seconds.

You’re meticulous and detail-obsessed, quality-checking every generated shot for continuity, consistency and realism before it goes anywhere near a brief.

And you’re genuinely fluent in AI tools, not dabbling in them – prompting, iterating and refining is simply how you make things now.

You’ll work alongside Cascade’s creative team, turning briefs into promotional material: product demos, feature announcements, pitch and campaign content, and short-form social, generated and assembled largely inside Cascade itself.

The better your first pass, the fewer rounds it takes to get something we’re proud to put out.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate video and image content for pitches, product marketing and social, using Cascade (and complementary generative AI tools) end-to-end from brief to polished first cut.
  • Generate AI video assets for social media channels, including UGC-style talking-head clips with our creative mascot character Gary, product scenes, b-roll, and complete concept videos.
  • Apply real filmmaking fundamentals – composition, pacing, story structure – to AI-generated footage, not just prompting and hoping.
  • Edit your own generated content to a clean, meticulous standard: tight cuts, no continuity errors, no visual tells.
  • Maintain visual consistency across characters, products, and brand assets while quality-checking generated content for realistic motion, readable text, accurate product representation, and other AI-generation issues.
  • Work closely with our Creative Director to keep output on-brand and edit-ready, cutting down the number of passes a piece needs before it ships.
  • Stay on the frontier of generative AI video and image tools and workflows, and bring what you learn back into how the team works.
  • Team up with Marketing to review what’s performing and sharpen format, length and topic accordingly.
  • Turn briefs from the content, pitch and marketing teams into finished promotional material, spotting ideas of your own along the way.
  • Stay current with evolving AI video models and creative technologies, testing new tools and incorporating effective workflows into production.
  • WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • End-to-end video creation experience, experienced enough to take a brief and run with it, with minimal oversight.
  • A portfolio showcasing content that tells captivating, visually stunning stories.
  • Expertise in filming, including lighting setups, camera movements, and cinematic techniques.
  • A natural storyteller that has the ability to craft compelling narratives that emotionally connect with the audience.
  • Basic animation skills.
  • Genuine, hands-on fluency with generative AI video and image tools as your actual workflow – not just playing with them.
  • A filmmaker’s instincts: composition, pacing, story, and how to hook someone in the first three seconds.
  • Meticulous and detail-obsessed – you catch the tiny visual errors, bad cuts and inconsistencies before anyone else does.
  • Dedicated and hands-on: you put in the hours a fast-moving startup needs, and no task is above or below you.
  • Comfortable turning someone else’s brief into something bar-raising.
  • Genuine interest in filmmaking, storytelling, creative technology or AI-powered products.
  • Comfortable under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of sound design and its importance in storytelling.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to take feedback constructively and work well in a team.
  • NICE TO HAVES
  • Experience creating content specifically for a Saa S, dev tool, or B2B/creative software product.
  • Filmmaking, video production or post-production experience of your own.
  • Experience growing a You Tube, Tik Tok or Instagram channel.
  • Some experience with scripting or storyboarding, useful for shaping a piece.
  • Film and entertainment fanatic.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary benchmarked against early-stage London tech.
  • A genuinely exciting product to work on – built by filmmakers, for filmmakers, at the frontier of AI.
  • Remote working.
  • A team culture built on craft, speed and ambition. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
  • The chance to shape how Cascade tells its own story – using the very platform we’re building.

How to prepare for a job interview at Cascade Studio

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Cascade Studio uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
