Casanovas Recruitment Solutions are delighted to be representing a successful and expanding business based in Ipswich who are seeking an experienced Accounts / Payroll Manager to join their busy and supportive finance team. This is a highly varied role, ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys managing a wide range of accounting and payroll responsibilities. You will take ownership of day-to-day finance processes as well as overseeing all payroll-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing all accounts payable processes
- Conducting supplier and statement reconciliations
- Processing supplier payments and maintaining payment schedules
- Reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports
- Supporting month-end and year-end procedures
- Maintaining organised and accurate financial records and correspondence
- Improving and streamlining existing accounting workflows
- Handling credit control duties when required
- Taking full responsibility for fleet management, including company insurance
- Managing payroll, company pension schemes, and VAT returns
- Carrying out additional ad hoc accounting tasks as required
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong background in accounts payable and receivable
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience
- Proficiency in accounting systems — Microsoft Dynamics experience is advantageous
- Strong IT skills across Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
- Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Confident communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and software
