We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our client, a global organisation trading across the US, Middle East and Europe. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity within a fast-paced finance team based at the company’s headquarters in West Suffolk. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive finance support, working in a structured and disciplined manner while consistently meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finance Operations
    • Raise sales invoices and customer statements
    • Manage credit control and resolve customer queries
    • Code, process, and enter supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate authorisation
    • Handle supplier queries professionally and efficiently
    • Prepare and process payment runs
    • Match payments and receipts
    • Monitor and manage the finance inbox
  • Reconciliations & Expenses
    • Reconcile UK and US credit and debit cards
    • Reconcile petty cash
    • Support staff expenses, including matching costs to projects (e.g. launches, conferences)
    • Maintain accurate filing of finance documents and contracts
  • Support & Compliance
    • Assist with audit preparation
    • Provide holiday cover for other finance team members
    • Support internal teams with finance-related queries
    • Carry out ad hoc finance tasks and analysis as required

About You

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Confident communicator with a proactive approach
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
