An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper to join a busy finance team within a well-established Accountancy Practice. The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role would suit someone looking to develop their career within a practice in a supportive environment, who is AAT qualified or part ACCA qualified.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of sole trade, complex partnerships, and limited company accounts
- Correctly and accurately prepare a trial balance, supporting lead schedules, backing documents, executive summary and use Digita accounts preparation to generate accounts
- Extract information and reports from clients’ records
- Gain in depth knowledge of using Xero and common apps for bookkeeping and VAT
- Gain further experience of Payroll/CIS in particular some of the common technical issues
- Input figures onto Digita Personal Tax and Corporation Tax for simple clients and run draft computations ahead of manager review
- Responsibility for Companies House and HMRC filing for clients you have worked on
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar finance or accounts role
- MUST have previous accountancy practice experience
- Experience with preparing full accounts
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills for internal and external liaison
