CASALI Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Engineer for a temporary assignment within a modern manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on EHS work, enjoys improving systems, and can confidently take ownership of compliance activities.
Youll play a key part in strengthening site Environmental, Health & Safety processes, with an initial focus on delivering and updating essential risk assessments and COSHH documentation. Beyond this, youll support wider EHS compliance across multiple management systems and contribute to a safe, well-run operation.
What youll be doing:
- Leading the completion, review and improvement of risk assessments and COSHH assessments
- Developing and maintaining site risk and COSHH registers
- Supporting the operation of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 management systems
- Participating in incident investigations, using structured methodologies such as 8D
- Assisting with internal EHS audits and compliance monitoring
- Contributing to legal compliance reviews and statutory tracking
- Maintaining accurate EHS records, registers and documentation
- Supporting emergency preparedness activities, including drills and audits
- Assisting with EHS training across the site
What were looking for:
- Essential: NEBOSH Certificate (minimum) or actively working towards it
- Strong experience delivering risk assessments and COSHH assessments in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Solid working knowledge of UK EHS legislation
- Experience supporting or working within ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 systems
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Desirable: Experience working with hazardous chemicals and COSHH management
- Exposure to ISO 50001
- HNC/HND in Electrical, Mechanical or Engineering discipline
