Overview

As Systems Engineer for ERP, Integrations and Data Engineering, you will be the technical owner of

our Odoo ERP and Zedonk, and of the integrations and pipelines that connect them to our POS, ecommerce, logistics and finance platforms.

You will build and run the ETL flows that land this data in Google Cloud BigQuery and turn it into reliable reporting for the business.

The role

ERP and Business Systems

• Configure, maintain and support Odoo across inventory, sales, purchasing, manufacturing and accounting modules.
• Administer Zedonk for wholesale, production and line-sheet processes, and manage its relationship with Odoo.
• Gather requirements from finance, operations, wholesale and logistics, and translate them into system changes.
• Plan and test upgrades, module changes and customisations with Odoo partners and consultants.
• Maintain master data quality: products, variants, pricing, customers and suppliers.
• Train and support users on ERP processes and best practice.

Integrations

• Build and maintain integrations between Odoo, Zedonk, NewStore POS, Shopify Plus, Adyen, 3PL/warehouse partners and other SaaS platforms.
• Work with REST and GraphQL APIs, webhooks, file-based exchanges (SFTP, CSV, EDI) and connector tools.
• Monitor integrations, handle failures and reconcile data between systems (e.g. stock, orders, ASNs).
• Document data flows, field mappings and dependencies.
• Design, build and operate ETL/ELT pipelines into GCP BigQuery from ERP, POS, e-commerce, payments, footfall and marketing sources.
• Model data in BigQuery with clear layers (raw, staging, mart), partitioning and naming standards.
• Write and optimise SQL views and scheduled queries for finance, retail, wholesale and stock reporting.
• Use GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Scheduler and Secret Manager to run pipelines.
• Implement data quality checks, alerting and cost monitoring.
• Build or support dashboards and lightweight internal apps on top of BigQuery.
• Manage dataset access and service accounts in line with security standards.

Cross-cover

• Cover the Infrastructure, Cyber Security & POS role when required, such as during holidays, absence or peak trading, including user and device support, Microsoft 365 administration, security alert triage and NewStore store support.
• Keep a working knowledge of the other role’s systems through shared documentation, runbooks and regular handovers.

The candidate

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years working with ERP systems, ideally Odoo, in retail, fashion or wholesale.
• Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery: advanced SQL, data modelling and performance tuning.
• Proven experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and SaaS integrations via APIs and webhooks.
• Strong Python skills for data processing and integration work.
• Understanding of retail and wholesale processes: stock, orders, purchasing, landed cost and financial postings.
• Methodical approach to testing, documentation and change control.

DESIRABLE

• Experience with Zedonk or other fashion PLM/wholesale tools.
• Experience with dbt, Dataform, Fivetran, Windsor.ai or Airbyte.
• BI tools such as Looker Studio or Power BI.
