Job Description
Casablanca Paris is looking for a Sportswear & Jersey Designer to contribute to the design and development of seasonal jersey collections while supporting the broader sportswear category. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and an understanding of contemporary sportswear aesthetics.
The role
- Design and development of seasonal jersey collections.
- Conduct in-depth seasonal research, developing mood boards, themes, and innovative concepts.
- Propose new design ideas, including techniques, details, and silhouettes that align with the brand’s identity.
- Support the sportswear category through research, sketches, and conceptual development.
- Work closely with the product development team to source fabrics, trims, and materials.
- Manage the critical path, ensuring deadlines are met, with oversight from the manager.
- Deliver high-quality products from concept to completion, with strong attention to detail.
- Manage fit sessions, contributing technical knowledge and design insights.
- Develop colour-ups for collections in line with seasonal themes.
- Manage seasonal styling and show preparations.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in technical sportswear (experience in this area is a plus).
- Create detailed CAD designs using Adobe Illustrator.
The candidate
- 2-3 years' experience in luxury fashion
- Hand sketching ability; use of an I-pad with procreate is a plus
- Proficiency in CAD design with Adobe Illustrator.
- Basic understanding of pattern-making and garment construction.
- Familiarity with Casablanca’s design codes and aesthetic.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines efficiently.
- Detail-oriented, with a keen eye for precision and finishing.
