We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented In‑bound and Inventory Logistics Coordinator to oversee the coordination of domestic and international shipments ensuring timely and cost‑effective delivery aligned with production deadlines. This role manages import and export operations across multiple freight modes including compliance with global shipping regulations and customs requirements. Working closely with Production, warehouses, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to maintain critical timelines and resolve delivery issues. This role is responsible for optimising freight costs, routes, and consolidation opportunities while maintaining accurate shipment tracking systems.
The role:
- Schedule and coordinate the movement of international shipments via freight forwarders to designated origin and destination points, ensuring timely delivery in alignment with production deadlines.
- Liaise closely with the Production team to ensure all critical timelines are met.
- Identify efficient and cost‑effective shipping methods, routes, consolidation opportunities, and freight rates for domestic and international shipments.
- Maintain strong knowledge of critical path management, global shipping processes, and government regulations to ensure smooth stock movement from manufacturers worldwide to warehouse locations.
- Manage import and export operations across multiple global warehouses, with a solid understanding of freight costs, customs clearances, duties, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee day‑to‑day import/export activities across all freight modes (air, sea, road) and various product categories.
- Verify that all shipping documentation complies with customs, insurance, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and continuously improve internal shipment tracking systems.
- Act as an expediter to proactively resolve delivery issues and minimize disruptions.
- Negotiate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve optimal logistics outcomes.
- Provide support to Outbound Logistics and collaborate with internal departments and external vendors, including freight forwarders, manufacturers, Production, QC, Finance, packaging suppliers, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately, within agreed parameters, and updated in a timely manner.
