Casa Environmental Services have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Asbestos Analyst in the West London/ Hampshire/ Berkshire Area. Are you looking to begin a career in the Environmental Science industry? Are you a graduate with a science-based degree? Or do you have construction site experience and are looking to start a new career?

We’re looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic person who has the drive to learn the skills required to become an asbestos professional, and open doors into this fast paced and exciting industry. In recent years Casa Environmental has become one of the leading asbestos consultancies in the South of the UK, delivering the highest standards of asbestos surveys to Housing Associations, Local Authorities, Government Departments, The NHS, Major Construction Companies and many other sectors.

The successful candidate will be mentored through Casa’s structured in‑house training programme and will be trained and supported to achieve industry recognised qualifications, such as BOHS P403 and P404 qualifications. Further training may also be provided to gain the P402 (Surveying) qualification and P401 (Bulk Analysis) qualification.

Preferred Criteria
  • Ability to learn at degree level
  • An interest in Environmental Sciences
  • Good understanding of technology (use of tablet-based applications)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Primary Duties

Once trained you will be responsible for:

  • The sign off areas following asbestos removal work
  • Inspecting areas of asbestos removal to ensure all materials are removed safely from site
  • Managing contractors on site to achieve the desired result
  • Providing writing reports describing completed work
  • Recording information on the company’s bespoke IT system via tablet
  • Maintaining equipment and managing your own stocks
  • Quality Assurance audits of report content
