OUR MISSION
To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we\’ve turned how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars on its head.
What started as a simple reviews site is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe. Last year alone we grew over 50% with nearly £3bn worth of cars bought on site, while £1.8bn of cars were listed for sale through our Sell My Car service.
In 2024 we went big and acquired Autovia – creators of AutoExpress and Evo magazines – doubling our audience overnight. Together we now have one of the biggest YouTube channels in the world with almost 10m subscribers and over 1.1 billion annual views, while we sell 1.2 million print copies of our magazines and have an annual web content reach over 350 million.
And we’re a long way from done!
YOUR MISSION
Join us on a mission to transform how 300+ commercial and operations professionals work every day – by putting Salesforce at the heart of our business.
As part of the Business Innovation team, you won’t just maintain a system – you’ll lead the evolution of our internal platform strategy. Your role is to empower teams by removing friction, replacing redundant tools, and ensuring Salesforce becomes a single source of truth for how we operate and grow.
We’re looking for someone who sees beyond config and code – someone ready to take ownership, drive adoption, and shape the future of our platform. You’ll play a key role in bringing every user fully onto Salesforce, embedding best practices, and preparing the business to harness automation and AI at scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Own the delivery of key Salesforce projects, ensuring timelines, dependencies and quality are all proactively managed.
-
Design, build, and own integrations between Salesforce and external or internal systems to guarantee seamless, reliable data flow.
-
Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and Salesforce admins – running discovery, refining requirements, and prioritising effectively.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including AI/Automation and Product Ops) to unlock process improvements and automation opportunities.
-
Lead agile delivery planning, working closely with the Head of Business Innovation to shape our backlog, delivery cadence and governance model.
-
Help define and embed Salesforce best practices across teams – from configuration standards to documentation and testing.
-
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Salesforce admins, helping build a scalable and confident internal capability.
-
Support intake, planning and roadmap processes as we grow towards a full internal Centre of Excellence model.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
-
Have 7+ years of Salesforce development experience, with strong hands-on knowledge of Apex, Flows, LWC, and declarative tools.
-
Have proven experience implementing Salesforce-integrated dialer solutions (preferably Amazon Connect), including configuration, customisation, and user enablement.
-
Are confident designing robust, scalable Salesforce architectures aligned to business goals.
-
Understand how to balance technical debt, speed, and clean design in a fast-paced environment.
-
Thrive in cross-functional teams and are comfortable working with stakeholders across sales, operations, and support.
-
Have experience working in agile environments using tools like Asana.
-
Are proactive, pragmatic, and focused on outcomes, not just shipping code.
-
Have Salesforce certifications (Developer I/II, Platform App Builder) or equivalent hands-on credibility
BONUS POINTS
-
Completed migrations from other platforms (Zendesk, Hubspot, Pipedrive, etc.) to Salesforce
-
Achieved substantial efficiencies through augmenting agent work – i.e. by automating workflows and responses.
WHY THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU
-
You are a Salesforce purist, and Salesforce is the only solution you ever think about – we need the flexibility to get to the right solution quickly. Sometimes that requires other creative solutions such as: API plug-ins of other AI tools, Low-Code tooling like ReTool and Zapier.
-
You want to lock yourself in a room and just develop solutions – we need someone who is keen to go out there and understand our business and ecosystem. Passionate about helping people and making others\’ jobs easier.
