OUR MISSION
To become the car-changing destination of choice. By combining technology, media and deep automotive expertise, we've transformed how people buy, sell, advertise and lease cars. What started as a simple reviews site is now one of Europe's largest car-changing destinations. Over 10 million customers have used carwow to buy and sell cars, with £3bn worth of cars bought and £1.8bn listed for sale last year alone. In 2024, we acquired Autovia — creators of Auto Express and evo — doubling our audience overnight. Together, we now operate some of the most influential automotive brands in the world, reaching over 350 million users annually and 1.1bn+ YouTube views.
GYC SALES (USED & NEW CAR ADVERTISING) @ CARWOW
This role sits within GYC (Get Your Car) Advertising, a fast-growing commercial team responsible for scaling Carwow's New and Used Car Advertising products. The two markets are at very different stages:
- New Car Advertising is a mature, high-performing product with strong market fit and limited competition.
- Used Car Advertising is an emerging channel — competitive, fast-moving, and still being proven.
We operate like a startup within a startup: small team, high ownership, evolving products and processes, limited structure by design. As an Inside Sales Executive, you sit at the centre of dealer demand, helping the wider sales team apply the right judgement depending on whether an opportunity sits in a mature or emerging motion.
YOUR MISSION
Your mission is to assess, qualify, and convert inbound dealer interest across New and Used Car Advertising, making smart commercial decisions quickly and ensuring the right opportunities move forward. This role is not about cold prospecting or owning long, complex sales cycles. It's about clarity, judgement, and credibility: knowing when to convert, knowing when to elevate, knowing when to stop.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle inbound dealer demand (New & Used)
- Respond to inbound enquiries from automotive retailers
- Understand intent, urgency, and commercial fit
- Decide the right next step: convert, book, nurture, or disqualify
- Convert free → paid
- Support co-funded campaigns
- Position paid solutions clearly and credibly
- Convert low-complexity opportunities or pass up-market cleanly
- Qualify for the sales team
- Run structured qualification conversations
- Book high-quality meetings only
- Protect BDM time by filtering noise early
- Support pipeline quality
- Maintain clean CRM notes and clear handovers
- Ensure expectations are set before escalation
- Reduce churn risk before deals reach the field
- Learn and improve
- Share feedback with Sales, Marketing, and Product
- Improve qualification quality over time
- Continuously sharpen your commercial judgement
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Clear, concise communicator
- Comfortable asking questions — and using silence
- Able to say no or not yet without hesitation
- Strong sense of credibility and trust with customers
- Comfortable making decisions under time pressure
- Organised, structured, and confident using CRM systems
BONUS POINTS
- Experience in inside sales, account support, or customer-facing commercial roles
- Exposure to automotive, marketplaces, or performance-led products
- Experience handling inbound demand or co-funded campaigns
WHY THIS MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU
If you want to be a "hunter" or work only on outbound. If you prefer pitching over qualifying. If you're uncomfortable saying no. If you only enjoy selling fully mature products.
FINAL NOTE
This role is ideal for someone who wants to be commercially sharp, trusted internally, and credible with customers, while operating across both a mature and an emerging advertising product. If that excites you, we'd love to talk.
