Role: Male Support Worker
Location: Henllan, Denbighshire
Hours: We have both part time and full time hours; your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep‑ins.
Salary: £13.59 per hour and sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night; travel expenses paid at 55p per mile.
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll actively support four male gentlemen in making their own choices and setting their own goals — whether it’s everyday decisions such as what to wear or eat, or larger decisions such as where to live, how to manage finances, or where to go on holiday. The individuals enjoy being involved within their community.
As a trusted Support Worker, you’ll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.
Your goal is to make everyday remarkable by enhancing well‑being and focusing on the small, meaningful moments that bring joy and purpose. Offering this kind of person‑centred support every day is fun and rewarding for the right person.
No experience required; full training is provided. We’re looking for applicants who:
- have patience and empathy
- can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
- have strong communication and teamwork skills
- are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
- have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
- have a full driving licence – essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities
