As a Male Support Worker in Henllan, Denbighshire,you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.
We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilitiesto live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.
Role:Male Support Worker
Location: Henllan, Denbigh
Hours: We have both part timeand full time hours, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.
Salary:£13.59per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile
Contract:Permanent
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you’ll actively support four gentlemenin making their own choices and set their own goals -whether it’s everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday.
As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You’ll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.
The service focuses on promoting independence, choice, inclusion, and person-centred support, enabling each individual to engage in activities they enjoy while maintaining their health, wellbeing, and dignity.
No experiencerequired as fulltraining is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:
- have patience and empathy
- can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
- have strong communication and teamwork skills
- are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
- have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
- have afull driving licence - essentialfor transporting individuals to appointments and activities
- have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
