Are you passionate about supporting people to enhance their skills? Do you love designing and delivering engaging training content? We may have the perfect role for you! We’re looking for a learning and development trainer to deliver compliance training across our service in West Wales.

At Cartrefi, we are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilled and enriched lives in the community and you will play a vital role in supporting us to do this.

Location: On-site, training at locations across West Wales (Swansea, Carmarthen and Pembrokeshire) however you may work from home when possible.

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities:

  • You’ll be responsible for delivering our operational compliance training across West Wales.
  • Managing your own diary to meet the training needs of our colleagues, ensuring training compliance is maintained, as well as supporting the team to deliver other training as required.
  • You’ll design engaging training content and resources to meet our compliance obligations working alongside subject matter experts.
  • Creating blended learning solutions including e-learning, online sessions and in-person training sessions.
  • You’ll ensure the accurate maintenance of training records, keeping our learning management system up to date and supporting the provision of training data and KPIs when required.
  • You’ll provide advice to colleagues on appropriate development opportunities and support them with completing the professional qualifications required for their roles.
  • You’ll support managers to provide a welcoming induction for new starters.
  • You’ll work closely with managers to ensure all colleagues are compliant with the necessary training requirements and any gaps are addressed.
  • You’ll continuously improve the training content you deliver to enhance the learning experience for colleagues, proactively maintaining an awareness of external regulations in the sector that may impact the training we deliver.

Qualifications and what we’re looking for:

  • Experience of delivering compliance training within health and social care or a related sector.
  • Experience of developing a variety of training courses, to be delivered in-person, online or via e-learning.
  • Qualified to Level 3 in a learning and development qualification or qualified to deliver compliance training in a health and social care setting (e.g. manual handling, safeguarding, medication, first aid etc).
  • Experience of using Microsoft Teams and other MS Office packages and a learning management system.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to deliver engaging training content to a variety of colleagues.
  • Excellent time-management and organisation skills, able to proactively manage your own workload across multiple sites.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and managers and support their personal development.
