Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins
Salary
£29,149.91pa and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

What you’ll be doing
In this rewarding role, you’ll work alongside the Service Manager to create a safe, welcoming and person-centred service where the people we support can thrive and our colleagues feel valued and supported.
You’ll be a visible and hands‑on presence within the service, working alongside the team and providing support that reflects the individual needs.You’ll play an important role in ensuring that day-to-day support is delivered safely in a way that promotes choice, dignity and independence. This is a varied role, combining hands-on support with leadership and management responsibilities. You’ll work shifts on a rota basisand will be someone the team can rely on to provide guidance, encouragement and leadership.
When the Service Manager is absent, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the service. This will include leading and supporting the team, monitoring performance, holding one-to-ones and appraisals, facilitating team meetings and ensuring that high standards of support and practice are maintained.You’ll build positive and trusting relationships with the people we support, their families and colleagues. You’ll bring our vision and values to life through the way you lead, communicate and work alongside others. You’ll help organise and model support that is innovative, flexible and genuinely person-centred - making every day remarkable.
We’d love to hear from you if you have
- experience supporting people with learning difficulties in a social care setting
- Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or actively working towards)
- a strong caring nature to support others to live an enriched life and fulfil their potential
- a working knowledge and understanding of the Care Council for Wales Code of Practice
- flexibility to work shifts and provide cover as required
- afull driving licence - essential and happy to travel for meetings and training
- access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 45p per mile to cover this
- Fluent in Welsh is preferredso you can effectively communicate with Welsh-speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs
