CartosomeTx is a new biotech venture developing a fusogenic lipid–exosome hybrid delivery platform for STAT3‑driven cancers. The company is currently focused on non‑muscle invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC).

We are seeking an academic collaborator (PI or senior postdoc) with expertise in NMIBC bladder cancer models to partner on an initial in‑vitro proof‑of‑concept study. This is a part‑time, funded collaboration rather than a salaried position, with scope for co‑authorship and joint IP where appropriate.

Key responsibilities
  • Advise on and/or provide suitable NMIBC bladder cancer cell models
  • Help design and oversee a minimal in‑vitro study to test a fusogenic LNP–exosome hybrid delivering a STAT3‑targeting nucleic acid payload
  • Generate and interpret data on: Payload delivery into NMIBC cells vs appropriate controls; STAT3 activity modulation (e.g. p‑STAT3, reporter systems, downstream targets)
  • Contribute to publication and/or patent strategy arising from successful studies
Ideal profile
  • PI or senior researcher in urology, oncology or related field, with experience in NMIBC models
  • Familiarity with STAT3 or similar signalling pathways and relevant readouts
  • Track record in translational oncology or drug delivery collaborations
  • Based in the UK or Europe (preference for UK), open to structured, milestone‑driven collaboration
What we offer
  • Support for Grant Funding to cover incremental experimental work and associated costs
  • Sensible, collaborative IP framework and potential for ongoing joint projects
  • Opportunity to help shape a new delivery platform from first principles

How to express interest: Please email hello@cartosometx.com with a short note on your group’s expertise in NMIBC/STAT3 and relevant models. Informal initial conversations are very welcome.
