What you'll do | Hei mahi
Reporting to our Quality Control Team Leader, this role focuses on delivering Kiwis a world-class Produce offer through a deep understanding of the science of Fruit and Vegetables. Shift Hours/Days - Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Monitor and assess inbound Fruit & Vegetable quality at the DC, ensuring compliance with Woolworths NZ specifications and government legislation.
- Conduct expert produce analysis using tools including refractometer, penetrometer, starch testing, temperature kits, measuring tools, and HarvestMark.
- Manage inbound quality for Packhouse processing, including working in chilled environments and retaining/documenting quality samples.
- Communicate quality issues effectively with Buying, Imports, Packhouse, and Primary Connect teams to support stock control and product movement.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Quality teams to uphold key strategic pillars, enhance store offer, and deliver on company KPIs.
- Support leadership with reporting, productivity initiatives, team experience, and continuous improvement of specifications and ways of working.
